The relationship between Breast Cancer & Bra…
When my mother at the age of 56 was diagnosed with breast cancer,
everybody in family was shocked. It was difficult to accept it as
my mother was healthy throughout her life and suddenly, she
was diagnosed with Breast cancer. I have
experienced the pain of losing my mother after
two years of her treatment. This makes me to write this blog as,
Prevention is always better than cure. I have seen that
Indian women hardly take care of themselves. Mothers are
always ready to do anything for family members but
when time comes to take care of themselves, they
bother least and ignore it. Taking care of small thing will definitely help
you to prevent cancer. These things are
very easy to follow and every woman can take care of it.
So, let see the relationship between Breast Cancer and Bra:
Breast cancer is No.1 Cancer among Indian females.
A study says that wearing a bra for more than 12 hours a day
Increases your chances of getting breast cancer 100 times!
Why & How?
- The straps, side panels, underwire & other structures
of the garment cut off drainage from your lymphatic drainage.
- Your lymphatic system helps you to remove
toxins & waste products from your cells.
- When you wear your bra for more than 12 hours, those
toxins are trapped in your breasts.
The end result?
- After many years of bra use, if these toxins get
accumulated, there is increased chances
of developing breast cancer.
What can you do?
- Wear bra as little as possible- that is
less than 12 hours a day. If during day time it is not possible, then
you can at least remove it before bed at night.
- Avoid bras with underwires & other stiff
breast shaping components.
- When selecting a bra, be sure that it is the
right size- it means not too tight!
- Your bra should not leave marks or dents on
your skin. If it does, it is too tight!
You should not only take care of yourself, but
you should spread this knowledge to
every female you know in the society, As
early diagnosis of breast cancer greatly increases
your chances of survival. So,
regular self-breast examination at least every 3 months is
must after 30 years of age. I have lost my mother to
breast cancer. I do not want anyone else to
go through the same pain.
That’s all for today.
See you next Tuesday with another Tuesday Tip.
Till then…..
Take care.
