Food To Avoid & Food To Include – To Raise Your Haemoglobin

Food to avoid & food to include – To raise your haemoglobin

In last Tuesday tip we discussed about good vegetarian sources

of iron. But even after eating these foods, still,

sometime what happens that you are unable to

raise your haemoglobin. This happens because

there are some foods which inhibits your iron absorption, means

if you take that foods along with rich source of iron food,

then they will not allow iron to get absorbed in your body.

You need to avoid these foods. But don’t worry.

You can enhance your iron absorption by

increasing intake of certain foods which will help you to

increase your iron absorption. You need to

include these foods in your daily diet.

First let us see the foods you need to avoid-

  • Tea
  • Coffee
  • Red wine
  • Dark chocolate

These foods contain polyphenoids or phenolic acid.

These compounds inhibit your iron absorption which is

very crucial for your haemoglobin formation.

Now let us see food to include-

  • Orange
  • Sprouts
  • Guava
  • Papaya

These are good sources of vitamin-C.

It converts insoluble ferric iron into soluble ferrous iron.

This ensures that your dietary iron is well absorbed and thus

become available for your body to produce more haemoglobin.

Proper diet=Good Haemoglobin=Better immunity.

I hope with proper dietary habits Indian women will finally have

better haemoglobin & better immunity.

That’s all for today.

See you next Tuesday

With another Tuesday Tip.

Till then….

Take care.
