How Corona can increase your belly fat, & what can you do about it?

It is not the corona virus itself, but rather it is

the stress of the corona virus that can increase your belly fat…

Stress is everywhere, stress due to family problem, business issues,

kids problem, financial problem, time pressure, and

now the big stress all over globe is of corona virus.

Yes!  Stress due to any reasons can increase your belly fat.

How?

When you are stressed, your hormones get disturbed. Among them

Cortisol is a stress induced hormone produced by your body. As

your body experiences stress, it secrets cortisol in your

blood stream. This cortisol increases your hunger. Thus,

you consume more calories than you really need. The

same cortisol hormone also breaks down your

lean muscles. Your lean muscles are the muscle that

burns your calories most efficiently. Thus,

in the end, due to your stress and cortisol, you

consume more calories but at the same time you

burn less calories and as a net effect, your belly fat increases!

What can you do?

1)Take all precaution related to your personal hygiene: They

are advertised widely and you already know about them.

2)Exercise regularly:

Exercise will reduce your stress hormones like cortisol &

it increases the production of feel good hormones like

endorphins. And this elevates your mood and will keep you

away from stress induced over eating. Yes, I

know you have many excuses of not getting

time for daily exercise due to your hectic schedule. Hence,
