Neck pain – Your food is your medicine….

 

In last tip we learnt about neck pain and its

solutions. Today we will see which food help you

in your neck pain:

1) orange and strawberries:

They have lots of phyto-nutrients like lutin & hesperidin which help

you to fight the inflammation (reduce your edema) & lessen your pain.

Orange also contains anthocyanins. Anthocyanin helps to strengthen your

blood vessels. This helps proper blood circulation at the sight of inflammation

leading to fast recovery.

 

2) Ginger:

In India ginger is traditionally known to help

relieve pain. Even there is research which says that ginger

is effective in relieving pain. You can have ginger tea, can eat dry ginger piece

or can add dry ginger powder to your green tea. You can also take simple

ginger warm water.

 

3) Almond & pumpkin seeds:

They contain good magnesium which helps you to relax your

neck muscles. You can take soaked almond first thing in the morning.

You can have raw pumpkin seed either soaked or directly.

 

4) Virgin olive oil:

It contains substance called oleocanthal. It

is well known natural non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound.

This helps to reduce inflammation and relieve your neck pain.

You can add virgin olive oil to your salads. Don’t heat virgin olive oil.

 

5) Lemon grass:

It contains antioxidant and compound like chlorogenic acid and iso-orientin which

help to reduce inflammation and pain. It is also effective in arthritic pain.

You can have lemon grass tea every day.

 

If you take food in proper portion and at

proper time then food can be your medicine.
